Arantxa (she/her) is a first-generation Peruvian American from New Jersey who graduated in May 2025 from Yale University with an honors degree in English Literature and an Advanced Language Certificate in Mandarin Chinese. Within the English curriculum, Arantxa is most interested in modern and postcolonial fiction, primarily from marginalized voices. 

Prior to CUHK, she served in many roles spanning academic, professional and recreational fronts, with a focus on teaching and learning. Arantxa now teaches CENG1, CENG2, CENG3, and GENA2122 over the course of both semesters. Outside of the English Department, she also enjoys working with New Asia College’s Spanish and English Tables, New Asia Middle School, and other NGOS serving under-resourced communities in Hong Kong. Her Cantonese is a work in progress, so please bear with her!
